Seminal jungle and drum n’ bass pioneer Jamie Giltrap, aka Tango, passed away suddenly.

The Midlands DJ’s releases pervaded underground dance music throughout the 1990s, helping to pioneer UK jungle through a plethora iconic prodcutions such as “final conflict,” “the killer” and “time bomb.”

As UK dance music evolved at the turn the century, Giltrap’s discography shifted from its roots in UK hardcore to more divergent soundscapes. Giltrap took time away from electronic music for years and spent time to be trained as a chef, before returning to dance music to release a plethora tracks spanning 2013–2018.
