Jon Bon Jovi has announced his endorsement of Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States with a new music video for the song ‘The People’s House’.
‘The People’s House’ featuring The War And Treaty was first released in June as part of Bon Jovi‘s album ‘Forever’. On October 11, the band revealed the accompanying music video, in which they sing together across several locations.

In a social media post to accompany the music video for ‘The People’s House’, Jon Bon Jovi emphatically pledged his support to Kamala Harris: ” The People’s House is a song that celebrates this beautiful place that we call home, from sea to shining sea. The truth matters. And the truth is on election day I’ll be voting for @KamalaHarris and @TimWalz because I believe in the power of we, not of me. I’ve written a song reminding us that out of many, we are still one.”
Tim Walz, who would be the next Vice President of the United States should Harris get elected, has since responded to Bon Jovi’s support, commenting on the post above: “Thanks, man – so grateful to have your support!”
In the past, Bon Jovi has supported other Democratic candidates for president and has released songs in the wake of George Floyd’s death and in support of current US President Joe Biden. Jon was also appointed by former President Barack Obama to the White House Council for Community Solutions in 2010.
Additionally, during the filming of the music video for ‘The People’s House’, Jon Bon Jovi was credited with saving a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville. The Metro Nashville PD also shared a video of the incident, which shows the singer filming a music video when he and his crew noticed the woman hanging off the bridge. He approached her and convinced her to get off the ledge before giving her a hug. The YouTube video has since been taken down due to “policy violations”.
Jon Bon Jovi now becomes the latest in a long line of high-profile musicians to throw their weight behind the Harris-Walz campaign ahead of the November 5 election. Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Michael Stipe, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, P!nk, Bon Iver, Quavo, Bruce Springsteen and Olivia Rodrigo are all also supporting her.
