We say it every year, but Miami is the undisputed epicenter of dance music in America. We host Ultra, Miami Music Week, and the hallowed halls of Club Space. But there’s one weekend in October that feels like it’s just for us. III Points is Miami’s hometown festival, and the 2025 edition was a sprawling, chaotic in the best way, and utterly magical testament to the city’s raw creative energy.

Returning to the concrete jungle of Mana Wynwood, the festival once again proved it’s not trying to be a polished, cookie-cutter event. It’s an urban labyrinth. You arrive well after dark, the air is thick with humidity, and you’re immediately lost in the best way possible. Between the thumping bass of the Mind Melt stage and the laser-grid of the Isotropic stage, the grounds were a sensory thrill. The art was back in full force, attracting spectators and photo takers alike.
But we come for the music. This year, the bookings were simply on another level. Friday night belonged to Michael Bibi’s triumphant return. On Saturday, Dom Dolla solidified his status as main-stage royalty. The Australian superstar had the entire Mind Melt stage in the palm of his hand, unleashing a torrent of high-energy tech house anthems. The crowd was a sea of hands, singing along to every drop. It was pure, unadulterated fun.
However, the “I was there” set of the weekend had to be the absurdly brilliant pairing of Mau P b2b Seth Troxler. It was the b2b nobody knew they needed, but it made perfect sense. Staged under the famed Isotropix mirrorball, it was a clash of generations that just worked. Troxler’s eclectic, vinyl-driven groove weaved perfectly with Mau P’s infectious, modern basslines. It was a masterclass in DJing and a true “only in Miami” moment.
As any III Points veteran knows, the festival’s 4 a.m. closing time is just a suggestion. The real test of endurance begins with the satellite afterparties that take over Downtown. The party simply does not stop. Saturday night was an insane gauntlet for the truly dedicated. You had to head to Club Space for the grueling 4-hour marathon set from Dom Dolla followed be another 4-hours of Mau P and then another 4 hours of Hot Since 82, running well into the afternoon. And of course, the entire weekend culminated in the legendary, sacred rite of passage: the 36-hour closing party at Club Space.
III Points remains a festival for those who truly love the music and the culture. It’s not for the faint of heart. It’s crowded, the cell service is a nightmare, and you’ll walk at least 10 miles. But as you stand under the disco ball at 3 a.m., surrounded by thousands of fellow locals, you realize it’s still the most authentic love letter to Miami there is. We’re already counting down the days to 2026.
