Genix – Mr. H2O/I Don’t Wanna

Today sees a new release from an Anjunabeats golden boy, Damion Hauchen, aka Genix. The Genix EP ‘Mr. H2O/I Don’t Wanna‘ features two absolutely stunning songs. Genix has been on the move recently with a busy touring schedule after playing EDC Las Vegas in May. He continues to crank out hit after hit, with recent releases ‘Ripsaw‘ and ‘Rogue‘ doing damage in the global charts.

The latest Genix EP features a harder hitting sound from the UK-born DJ. ‘Mr. H2O’ slays with a massive rolling low treble effect that will have any listener curling their lip. The uptempo intro is met with the furious bass line that compels you to get up and move. A lofty breakdown precedes a drawn out and uplifting drop. When the snare kicks back in, the listener is in full “send it” mode.

‘I Don’t Wanna’ provides lovely balance to the EP. Introducing a syncopated snare-kick combo, it vaults into another edgy, low sounding rumble. With a peaceful build up, the harmonious vocals begin to kick in. With a very club-like peak, the vocals combine with a euphoric sound that mesh extremely well.

Genix is proving he is no one-trick pony. His sound and growth are evident in this EP, wonderfully mixed and crafted. Mr. H2O is receiving big support from Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond, and is featured on Oliver Smith‘s Anjunabeats Worldwide 08 compilation.
