Producing a music festival is quite the undertaking. Almost nobody can fully understand the amount of work that goes into pulling off a mass gathering unless they have experience in the industry. Natural Land Camping & Music Festival is learning this the hard way. Just a few days before the event was slated to begin, six headlining acts have been pulled from the line up for vague reasons.
The artists who were pulled are Break Science, MUST DIE!, EOTO, Downlink, Bro Safari and NGHTRE. The latter was billed as the overall headliner of the festival and was scheduled to perform a set during a fireworks show.
Needless to say, fans were made quite uneasy by this development. The festival was vague about the reasons why so many major artists were pulled last minute, only stating that the artists were not at fault in the decision. Many believe it is a funding issue for the festival, who on a tight budget had to make some costly last minute changes.
Natural Lands is offering ticket holders free upgrades as well as full refunds in light of the new circumstances. With visions of Fyre Festival, Mysteryland USA, and many others still fresh in our memory, we sincerely hope that Natural Lands can fight the odds and pull off a successful event.
