Back in 1987, Kelly Charles released a scorning house song condemning the actions of a past lover. The tune was called ‘You're No Good For Me' and over the next 3 decades, the vocal hook would be sampled time and time again by artists all over the world.
The most popular track to sample the vocals was The Prodigy's massive 1994 hit, ‘No Good (Start the Dance)' which would go on to be certified Gold in Germany for selling over a quarter of a million records. Now Don Diablo and Zonderling have brought back this instantly recognizable sample and utilized in a new wild and wonky house tune.
Don Diablo and Zonderling – ‘No Good'
In classic Don Diablo fashion, the track is rooted in future house. But to restrain it to that genre-description alone would be nothing short of a crime. Zonderling works in their trademark wonky synths alongside the perfectly placed vocal samples. This tune is the perfect way to bring a timeless sample right up to date.
‘No Good' is a wonderful tune from start to finish, expect to hear this one on mainstages in the later Summer festivals, as it has been meticulously crafted to make crowds lose their minds. Check it out below.
