This week Deena Abdelwahed introduced the discharge of her highly-anticipated debut album.

Titled ‘Knonnar’ – pronounced ‘ronnar’ – the album scheduled to land subsequent month French imprint InFiné Music. The title refers to an untranslatable Tunisian phrase that's mentioned to evoke the darkish, disturbing and shameful.

Comprised of 9 tracks, the forthcoming launch from the proficient Tunisian producer and DJ follows up her notable, club-ready EP ‘Klabb’, which launched InFiné again in 2017.

According to a press launch ‘Knonnar’ is, “the manifesto for a technology that doesn't search to please or to adapt, taking again management of its id – with all of the attendant losses and chaos.” On it, Deena will as soon as once more provide up an experimental venture that blurs the boundaries between bass, techno and different leftfield sounds.

‘Khonnar’ is out November 16 InFiné Music. Check out the tracklist and art work under, and try our assessment of Sicilian pageant Ortigia Sound System to learn extra about Deena’s exhilarating performances.
