Celebrate LGBT History Month with Reworks of GRiZ and Wreckno’s ‘Medusa’

In celebration of LGBT History Month, multi-instrumentalist and producer GRiZ is releasing the remix package for his iconic track, “Medusa,” featuring fellow queer DJ/producer/rapper Wreckno. Acclaimed as a new ‘queer anthem banger’ the original track was created to uplift the underrepresented LGBTQIA+ voices in dance music. GRiZ, Wreckno, and their massive roster of remixers aim to empower the queer community in these troubling times.

The “Medusa” remixes show off the eclectic curation showcased in GRiZ’s renegade DJ sets and mainstage performances alike. The roster of remixers are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, with the package being created by the community and for everybody. The remix package is initiated with a special GRiZ VIP unleashing his classic sound design and high-impact songwriting.

The feel-good vibes come from Giolì & Assia’s deep house rendition, a much buzzed about duo who have exploded onto the scene with their organic shades of electronic. With a quick change in tempo comes Super Future’s version, providing a heavy series of rolling 808 snare hits, straight into NotLö’s slice of dark experimental beats. J.Worra tops off the remix package with technical proficiency that makes her one of modern house’s brightest stars.

The remix package follows the release of GRiZ’s Bangers[6].Zip EP, which featured collabs with JAUZ and Blunts & Blondes as well as a solo production that could only have lifted spirits during these unprecedented times. With live events on pause for the time being, GRiZ has taken his engaging live shows to the streaming landscape, treating fans to massive virtual sets and more intimate moments from home. Most recently, he produced a two-day virtual retreat with his third annual Camp Kulabunga, offering fans a chance to connect and find a sense of community, self-empowerment, and radical inclusion when needed the most.
