Bristolian producer Bruce, aka Larry McCarthy, has announced his debut album, ‘Sonder Somatic’

Releasing Hessle Audio, the pioneering label helmed by trio Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound, the 11-track release pays homage to the influential imprint in its energy and experimentalism, with Bruce’s distinctive club-ready sound venturing out into the realms of introverted sound design.

Weaving together ominous club weapons, eerie techno experiments and other headsy, hybrid sounds throughout the release, Bruce’s open-eared approach to club music’s past, present and future helps shape the release as it switches between tempos, ideas and moods.

Discussing his involvement with the label a press release McCarthy explains, “From being a fan of their work from the very beginning, it's not only the music they have released that has informed my taste/work, but also the journey they have formed through the application of their attitude and approach.”

The album will be Bruce’s third excursion on the imprint, following up his ‘Not Stochastic’ and ‘Steals’ EPs which landed in 2014 and 2016 respectively.

‘Sonder Somatic’ lands October 26 Hessle Audio. Pre-order the album here and check out lead track ‘Æon’ below.

Bruce will be joined by Pearson Sound and Danielle at the ‘Sonder Somatic’ album launch party at London’s Pickle Factory on October 5. Grab a ticket here.
