It is an unfortunate night for Electric Forest future attendees. It has just been announced on social media that the request for a change date for the festival has been denied by the Rothbury Valley Council. This makes the event's 10th-year edition unlikely to take place this year.

This evening, the Rothbury Village Council met to discuss Electric Forest's request for alternative dates, specifically on September 10th – 13th. This is due to the coronavirus pandemic that is currently affecting the United States. Once the decision to deny any kind of alternative date was made, Electric Forest assured fans that they are still exploring other options for the event. Truthfully, it is unlikely that anything else can be done for the festival other than a forced cancellation. However, we can only trust that the popular event will seek the best option for future attendees.

Most of the summer festivals expected to take place this year have either been canceled or postponed due to the uncertain future of COVID-19. For example, Insomniac's EDC Las Vegas was recently postponed to October. As a result, the Electric Forest Family speculated that the festival would be affected. However, no one believed that it would likely be canceled. This is because Insomniac is partnered with the organizers of the event. Insomniac has successfully sought for the postponements of its festivals. Therefore, EF fans were certain that the famous company, along with the official event organizers, would do anything in their power to have Electric Forest postponed. However, this unsuspected decision has led to a situation completely out of their control.

Electric Forest will soon provide an update on this year's edition. Stay tuned for that announcement.
