In spite having a successful record label and many artists attached to it putting out phenomenal work, Black Tiger Sex Machine’s first album left a lot to be desired. It wasn’t bad in any way, but it was clear the Canadian trio was approaching an album the wrong way – it was rough, not particularly fluid, and just felt like it was missing something. The same cannot be so easily said for their second album, New Worlds, out today Kannibalen Records.

BTSM’s debut album, Welcome To Our Church, was released exactly 25 months ago today, and it’s incredible to see the progress they’ve made as both a live act and as producers. From crushing the stage to excelling in the studio, BTSM have long since established themselves as a premiere act in the EDM scene to watch.

New Worlds only spans 10 tracks, but each has its own purpose and power. Featuring collaborations with some favorite friends like Panther, YOOKiE, Apashe, Kai Wachi, Lektrique, and finally with Sullivan King, the album truly feels like a family affair.

Apart from the previously released singles, we also get the long-awaited YOOKiE collaboration
“Lions,” which is just about as heavy as you could imagine, and then some. We also get the insane Apashe collaboration “Replicants,” named after the synthetic humanoids from the Bladerunner universe.

There isn’t a single track on the album that I’d likely skip. Check out New Worlds below.
