Bassnectar is stepping away from music after allegations of ual misconduct surfaced.
An Instagram account called Evidence Against Bassnectar was created at the end of June, posting various ual misconduct allegations against the California DJ and producer. The posts on Evidence Against Bassnectar allege Bassnectar had numerous ual relationships with teenagers. He's also been accused of grooming fans.
Although Bassnectar claims the rumours are "untrue", he's released a statement addressing the allegations and announcing he will be "stepping back from my career". He also stated he'll be moving away from his non-profit organisation Be Interactive.

Bassnectar had previously spoke out on the allegations, posting on a Facebook group called Love Here.
In that, he wrote: "I have never been involved in anything that was not absolutely , unequivocally consensual. During a time when high profile men are being called out for their violence against women, I am proud to be an ally of women, and stand in solidarity with victims."
