Avicii, who handed away in April 2018, acquired a posthumous award on the Grammis Awards in Sweden.

The 'Wake Me Up' producer's father, Klas Bergling, picked up the award on his son's behalf on the Swedish equal of the US Grammys in Stockholm.

Avicii, who's reason for loss of life was suicide, received a Grammis Award in 2012 for his single 'Levels'.

According to a translation offered by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Bergling stated the next in his acceptance speech: “As Tim’s father, I'm very honoured to obtain this nice prize. Tim was a pleasant individual with humour and really severe, humble, and cussed as sin. When it got here to the music, he was on the verge of obsessed to succeed in the optimum he had imagined.”

He added: “He was a shy one that didn’t wish to be within the middle and he had a tough time with the official function. He had a must withdraw, and peace, and discover himself – one thing that many people most likely acknowledge.”

Avicii’s father concluded his speech with a tearful deal with to his late son, stating: “Tim, we predict your music will stay and proceed to please folks”.
