UK techno linchpin Alan Fitzpatrick is gearing up to launch a new leftfield and electronica oriented music label called Apex Faction.
Having already wowed dance music lovers with the curation of his We Are The Brave imprint, Apex Faction was made with the intention of showcasing "a new dimension in Fitzpatrick's electronic music scope."
The first release on the label is an eloquent piece of music titled 'Clarity' from UK duo Model Man. The EP comes paired with remixes from Scottish clubbing fixture Theo Kottis and Alan Fitzpatrick himself.
“When I first heard Model Man’s track ‘Ketones’, it absolutely blew me away," Fitzpatrick explains. "I love their vibe and wanted to shout about them to the world. ‘Clarity’ is a perfect debut release for Apex. I’m keen to push music I believe in and I’m buzzing to have these guys at the forefront of my new label."
Ahead of the label's debut release on July 29, Fitzpatrick has handed over his pensive remix of the track to Mixmag for a premiere. Check it out below.
