With an emphasis on seclusion, inventive solidarity and refined audio gear from AKG, Mixmag and Samsung teamed as much as carry a handful of musicians to the distant forests of Woodstock, New York and the open desert of Joshua Tree, California for 2 wholly distinctive digital music retreats. Immersed in these thought-provoking environments, we created a fascinating authentic mini-documentary on every taking part artist to provide viewers a novel perspective on their profile and inventive course of.
Taking half in our Woodstock retreat was American singer, songwriter, DJ and producer Bright Lights. Raised in South Carolina by her pastor father, Bright Lights’ musical profession sparked at an early age when she was enjoying piano and singing in church. After attending the esteemed Berklee School of Music in Boston, her profession as a pop artist started in 2009. “Dance music actually saved me as a inventive individual,” Bright lights explains. “I used to be simply so pissed off within the pop world as a result of songwriting doesn’t actually change.” Her collaborations with Zedd and following performances’ at EDC and Ultra uncovered her to a brand new style and scene that has “given her a house” and “life as a lyricist.”
