In a rare interview appearance on Matt Wilkinson's Apple Music Beats 1 radio show, Four Tet revealed that he is currently working on a new album and it is "not far from being done."
Following his Coachella performance last month, Four Tet revealed the single 'Teenage Birdsong' - a track that we now know is the first single off his new and currently untitled album.
"I'm deep in work on a new album at the moment," said Four Tet when asked if new music would be arriving soon. "The first single's just come out, a bit unusual for me, I've started releasing music before the album's finished. But the album's not far from being done, I think it'll come out this year."

'Teenage Birdsong' was the follow-up track to Four Tet's big-time summer banger 'Only Human' which was released back in March under his KH moniker after he finally managed to clear the Nelly Furtado sample used in the track. You can listen to it here.
