As we are only a month or so away from the beginning of the iconic Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), details about the conference are beginning to emerge. One of the most interesting storylines so far is that event organizers have secured permits to upcycle an old prison into a venue for the event.

Bijlmerbajes prison which was closed two years ago is one of The Netherlands most forboding structures. The menacing building will soon host some of the hottest Techno in the world for three days only.

Dutch Prison To Be Converted Into Techno Paradise, But Only For A Few Days

The prison housed some serious criminals during its time in use and was shut down due to the inability to keep it populated due to The Netherlands low crime rate. It seems only right that Bijlmerbajes prison will see some of its final days as a place of joy and happiness rather than despair and darkness.

Performers for the series of events include Seth Troxler, Honey Dijon, Speedy J, Rødhåd, Jon Hester, the British Clouds and Nina Kravitz. Now that is the way you create a once in a lifetime event.
