Matt Nguyen of bass duo ARIUS is currently competing with his group, Poreotics, for the million-dollar prize on this season of NBC’s “World of Dance.”

With inspiration to bring dance culture back to the EDM scene, Matt and his dance crew incorporate their creative blend of popping, choreography and robotic movements with original music he produced and edited as ARIUS, with partner Tessa Lizz. “Dance music is supposed to be fun,” says Matt. “I think that’s why all of us started going to raves in the first place with all our friends – to dance and have a good time. But now I feel like all they want to do is wait for the drop and ‘go hard’ and miss out on all the other beautiful parts of electronic dance music.”

After placing at the top of their division in the initial Qualifiers round, Poreotics just beat their competition again in The Duels while performing to a mashup of ARIUS’s recently released tune, “Drink Like A Monsta,” with Dillon Francis and NGHTMRE’s, “Need You.”

Watch next as Poreotics goes on to compete in The Cut round to another ARIUS upcoming release, “Jelly Donuts,” to see if they make it to the Division Finals. You can keep up with their journey and the rest of this season of “World of Dance” on Wednesday nights, 8PM PST on NBC.
