has made it his mission to leave an indistinguishable impression through all his work. A calculated force, Schossow will continue to probe into his brand hazy tech house with the launch Code Black, an imprint fshoot Code Red dedicated to deeper cuts.
Schossow’s first debut on the imprint is a revival his Englafjord alias.
“This has grown within me for years, not only the urge for total freedom, but also to be able to do two things at the same time without hurting the redline in between my releases.”
“Alone Out There” succinctly captures the idiosyncratic intent the Code Black imprint in both an alluring bassline and eerily evocative vocals. “I don’t wanna be alone in the world out there,” a voice coos under a swelling bassline. “They say you don’t gotta go home, but you can’t stay here.”
As much as the vocals are fleeting, “Alone Out There” is an inexplicably blissful ballad on its face, and it’s one that represents an artist whose composure always weathers the market’s storm.
