Sleep Token have surprise-released an instrumental version of their latest studio album, Even In Arcadia. The release follows a landmark year for the London-based masked metal band, whose fourth record solidified their position as one of the most significant forces in contemporary heavy music.

Originally released last May, Even In Arcadia achieved unprecedented commercial success, securing the Number One spot on both the UK Albums chart and the US Billboard 200. The record also produced the band’s first-ever UK top 10 single with the track "Caramel."

The new instrumental edition is currently available across all major streaming platforms. For physical collectors, a colored vinyl edition is scheduled for release on August 7, with pre-orders now open. This release continues a tradition for the band, who previously issued instrumental versions of 2019’s Sundowning and 2021’s This Place Will Be Your Tomb, though they notably bypassed an instrumental release for 2023’s breakout Take Me Back To Eden.

Beyond its commercial performance, Even In Arcadia garnered Sleep Token their first two Grammy nominations: Best Metal Performance for "Caramel" and Best Rock Performance for "Emergence." While those awards ultimately went to Turnstile and Yungblud respectively, the nominations underscored the band's rapid ascent into the global mainstream.

The original album received critical acclaim, including a perfect five-star review from NME, which praised the record for building on the "bravery of its predecessor" and revealing a more "exposed version" of the band's enigmatic frontman, Vessel. The band further cemented their reputation with a landmark headline performance at Download Festival last summer, a set that earned praise from industry veterans like KoRn, who noted the performance "shut everybody up" regarding the band's ability to headline major stages.

In addition to the new audio release, the band has continued to expand the Even In Arcadia universe through other mediums, including a 25-design coloring book released last December. Meanwhile, the band's dedicated fanbase continues to lobby for a full release of the reworked version of "Rain," which recently featured in a high-profile trailer for The Game Awards.
