Miami Music Week always finds new ways to push boundaries—and this year, Insomniac and Club Space are taking things far beyond the club walls.
For 2026, the iconic Miami brand is stepping into a completely new setting with Black Coffee: Open Air at the Racetrack, taking place on Saturday, March 28 at the historic Hialeah Park Racetrack.
But this isn’t just another event—it’s a full transformation of one of Miami’s most iconic landmarks.
A Historic Venue Reimagined
This place is bringing back to life one of the most iconic venues in Miami history.
Once known as a playground for legendary figures like Marilyn Monroe and Winston Churchill, Hialeah Park Racetrack carries a rich cultural legacy that stretches back decades.
Now, that same space is being reimagined for a new era—transforming the racetrack into a massive open-air dancefloor for Miami Music Week.
Adding to its uniqueness, the venue is also a designated flamingo sanctuary, blending Miami’s history, architecture, and natural elements into a setting unlike anything else on the MMW calendar.

Inside the Experience: What to Expect
The event layout is designed to fully utilize the scale of the racetrack, creating multiple vantage points and experiences throughout the venue.
Attendees entering with GA tickets will access the racetrack through two separate tunnel entrances, leading directly onto the main dancefloor where the stage will host Black Coffee and additional special guests.
The grandstands will also be open to GA attendees, offering elevated views of the performance and the surrounding venue—something rarely available at traditional club events.
For those looking for a more premium experience, VIP ticket holders will have access to:
- Exclusive grandstand VIP tables
- DJ booth tables located on stage
- A shaded VIP clubhouse lounge
- Premium parking (first come, first served) for quick entry
The setup blends large-scale festival energy with curated, intimate viewing options—making it feel both expansive and intentional.
Black Coffee Leads the Soundtrack
Headlining the experience is Black Coffee, the Grammy Award-winning South African DJ and producer known for his deeply immersive and globally influenced sound.
His signature blend of Afro-house, deep house, and melodic elements has made him a staple on the world’s biggest stages—and particularly powerful in open-air environments designed for longer, atmospheric sets.
With additional special guests still to be announced, the event is shaping up to deliver a full journey from sunset into night.
A New Kind of Miami Music Week Experience
One of the most compelling aspects of this event is how different it feels from the typical Miami Music Week format.
Instead of late-night club marathons, Open Air at the Racetrack offers a more immersive, destination-style experience—where the venue itself becomes part of the story.
We’re going to transform this racetrack into a massive party for Miami Music Week.
That transformation is exactly what makes this event stand out. From historic architecture to open-air production and carefully designed viewing areas, it’s a concept that pushes beyond the traditional boundaries of nightlife.
