Hailing from the UK, Anish Kumar has firmly established himself within the UK’s electronic music scene. His signature productions seamlessly blend elements of his South Asian heritage with house, garage, and breaks, resulting in tracks that are sometimes emotive and captivating or just straight-up bangers. His tracks have garnered accolades from renowned artists such as Bonobo, Annie Mac, and his biggest fan: Four Tet. Expect to hear his latest single “Everything Blooms Around Her” and future classics like “Steamroller” and “Little Miss Dynamite,” which samples Brenda Lee’s “Is It True.” With that said, he will undoubtedly be moving the masses this weekend during his Outside Lands debut. Who knows, maybe Four Tet might make a guest appearance.

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Seth Troxler has cemented his position in the upper echelons of Detroit legends and established himself as one of the world’s most influential artists and DJs. His tracks seamlessly merge house and techno, sprinkled with some of that signature Seth Troxler goodness. Troxler has played sets everywhere from Glastonbury to Detroit’s Movement, Ibiza’s Dalt Vila, London’s Fabric, and even at many of San Francisco’s venues. His return to San Francisco promises a masterclass in DJing.

Romy // Saturday, August 10th // Sutro Stage // 4:10-5:00 PM

Romy Madley Croft, known as Romy, is a British singer, songwriter, and musician best known as part of The xx. Venturing into a solo career, she has crafted a unique sound of electronic, pop, and dance music. Her debut solo album, “Mid Air”, released in 2023, showcases her signature style and includes a collaboration with Fred Again… Romy’s solo work, characterized by its queer-positive themes, has been well-received, with singles like “Strong” and “Lifetime” gaining significant attention. Make sure not to miss her at the Sutro Stage.

Chris Lake // Saturday, August 10th // Sutro Stage // 8:30 PM – 9:45 PM

British DJ and producer Chris Lake popped onto the electronic music scene in the early 2000s with forward-thinking bootleg remixes of Leftfield and The Prodigy. Lake quickly gained early traction and extensive support from renowned DJs, including the mighty Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Carl Cox. His production chops have led to Chart-topping singles, including the Billboard Dance Chart hit “Carry Me Away” featuring Emma Hewitt, and collaborations with powerhouses like Deadmau5, Green Velvet, and Fisher. He has remixed tracks for artists ranging from Swedish House Mafia to Calvin Harris and MK. Beyond his production skills, Lake is an amazing DJ, and his sets are floor fillers—essential viewing at the Sutro Stage on Saturday. 

Dusky // Saturday, August 10th // SOMA Stage // 3:55 – 5:25 PM

In 2011, Dusky, Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman, emerged from London’s vibrant underground scene with a handful of brilliant tracks on labels such as Aus, Arjuna, and Simple. Their seamless fusion of garage, deep house, breaks, tech house, and techno rapidly gained them recognition within the UK’s underground circuit. Their track “Careless” on Aus Music propelled them to further prominence, reaching Beatport’s Top 100 and becoming an instant must-see live act. Their latest track, “Trance You,” is filling floors worldwide and is guaranteed to continue that trend on Saturday at the SOMA stage.

Uncle Waffles, Swazi-born Lungelihle Zwane is a prominent Amapiano DJ and producer renowned for her energetic performances. She gained widespread attention after a viral video of her dancing to “Adiwele” and received further recognition when Drake followed her on Instagram. Uncle Waffles released her debut EP, “Red Dragon”, in 2022, followed by “Asylum” in 2023, solidifying her status in the Amapiano genre. Check out her performance at the SOMA Stage on Sunday.
