Coachella has shared a video of Nina Kraviz's full AV performance at the 2019 edition of the festival.
Collaborating with the conceptual design company Sila Sveta and Russian artist Artem Nanushyan to create the show's visuals, Kraviz took a bold approach to her set by incorporating spoken word performance, choreography and singing into her live set.
The avant-garde showcase was one of the most talked-about and divisive performances of the entire festival. In an interview with, Kraviz goes into detail about the crowd's mixed response.
"The reaction was volcanic and opinions were remarkably polarized," says Kraviz. "Some were shocked, some thrilled, some people hated the show and me so much that they felt like they had to come on my socials and insult me. Most of the commenters based their opinion about my hour-long show on 3 minute clips. Interestingly enough people were very surprised that I was singing live, even though I have been making music for a long time and on nearly all of it I am singing. All that said, there were also people who absolutely loved it for what it was and many people connected to me in a new way after seeing this show. For that I cherish this experience a lot and I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to perform something new."
Last week, Kraviz dropped her new three-track EP 'stranno stranno. neobjatno' on the artist's трип (Trip) label. Check it out by going here.
