Glastonbury Festival Announces Huge Changes For The Year 2019Glastonbury is a monumental music festival which started in 1970 the day after Jimi Hendrix died. It takes place on Worthy Farm in England and features contemporary music many genres as well as, artists from countries all over the world. Names like Kanye West, Coldplay, Fat Boy Slim, Skrillex, and Deadmau5 have all performed at the legendary festival. This year Glastonbury is taking a break and allowing itself to replenish and announces some huge changes for the year to come.

The next Glastonbury is set to take place on June 26th-30th 2019. Emily Eavis, organizer the festival announced that plastic bottles will be banned from the site. The ban on plastic bottles will mean an alternative way selling water and st drinks will be unveiled by vendors, as well as encouraging attendees to opt for a more environmentally friendly option using stainless steel bottles instead plastic. Along with this environmentally conscientious revision to the festival, new artists are rumored to be performing at next year’s event.

Eavis teased artists who have never performed at Glastonbury will be taking the stage next year. Artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Kendrick Lamar and others have been rumored to be on the next lineup, but it is still too early to make any promising guesses.
