After continuing his top 40 radio dominance with the infectious smash “This Is What You Came For” alongside go-to superstar Rihanna, Calvin Harris is channeling a bit more angst on his latest offering “Hype” featuring frequent collaborator and UK rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Reuniting for their first time in four years since “Here 2 China” with Dillon Francis off Harris’ 2011 album 18 Months, the track’s title could not be more suitable for the production as Dizzee’s rapid lyrical flow and Calvin’s supercharged blend of hip hop, house and breakbeat mesh for a soon-to-be summer party anthem.

We can’t help but notice “Hype” is reminiscent of Swedish House Mafia’s 2010 dance classic “Miami 2 Ibiza” featuring London rapper and hype man Tinie Tempah, and that’s not a bad thing.
