As a high prile musician, the pressure is always on to keep your music sounding fresh and new. For Calvin Harris, it has never really seemed like a problem. But over the last few days, Harris has been making interview rounds talking about not quite feeling his new productions.

In his latest interview, done with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, Harris spoke about his new track with PARTYNEXTDOOR and a new-found inspiration from none other than Virtual Self and his track ‘Ghost Voices’. In the interview, at about 8 minutes, Lowe asks Harris, “Who’s new that you love right now?” Harris responded:

That’s some major praise coming from one the world’s most iconic producers. It is interesting to hear Calvin Harris be so honest about himself. He talked about spending so much money on features for his vol. 1 LP and how he felt he moved away from what he loved. Seems like ‘Ghost Voices’ could possibly bring back the old EDM-driven Calvin Harris we grew up with.
