This Friday we’re going to keep riding high on the world cup vibes as we welcome Parisian DJ Bambounou to bring some celebratory energy to the booth.
His DJ sets are transportive trips through deep, hypnotic sounds, fuelled by a mastery of tension control and packed with interesting rhythms. This approach was flawlessly showcased in his In Session mix last year.
Bambounou’s own productions form the core of his sets, often unreleased and tailor-made for the club. He was a mainstay on Modeselektor’s 50Weapons across 2012 to 2015, and recently returned to the release fore following a three year hiatus to put out the ‘Parametr Perkusja’ EP on Don’t DJ’s DISK imprint. Taking the time to hone his sound for the record, it features three breathtaking productions primed for the late-night dancefloor.
